Marvel's Inhumans cast their King

Marvel's Inhumans cast their King

Hell on Wheels star Anson Mount has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming superhero series Inhumans as Blackagar Boltagon.

Blackagar Boltagon or Black Bolt, (yes that's his name, stop laughing) is the ruler of the Inhumans. Bolt's power is to harness energy, which then can be released as a shock-wave via speech. This shock-wave is capable of leveling entire cities, hence why Bolt usually remains silent. Head of Marvel Television JEPH LOEB had some nice words about mount's casting.

ANSON LOVES THE CHALLENGE OF PLAYING A CHARACTER WHO WILL ONLY COMMUNICATE SILENTLY. HIS ENTHUSIASM MIXED WITH HIS IMPOSING ALMOST REGAL PERSONA MADE IT EASY TO SEE WHY HE IS OUR BLACK BOLT.

Mount joins Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Maximus, Black Bolt’s brother — a cunning and charming Inhuman who desires to wear the crown himself. *cough, Loki, cough*

In what is no doubt an unprecedented move Marvel’s Inhumans will premiere its first two episodes in IMAX theaters for two weeks this September, then it will continue on ABC for its full eight-episode run.

So this isn't Vin Diesel, a star that's been rumored for the role forever but I'm sure Anson has what it takes to bring Black Bolt to life on the big screen.
