New Mutants is dipping into the Netflix pool with its latest cast additions

Hello friends!

According to THR,  Fox's New Mutants movie is beefing up its cast with some very talented actors. All of whom have recently starred on a few Netflix shows. But whom do you ask will join Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane and Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik? 

Well, from the MCU/Netflix universe is Rosario Dawson who will be playing the "Professor X" role of team mentor as Dr. Cecilia Reyes M.D.. Mutant Doctor. ba-dum chi! For those who are keeping score, this would make Dawson's 4th role in as many comic book movie universes. 

And coming straight out of Hawkins, Indiana, by way of Stranger Things, we've got the brooding Charlie Heaton who is in talks to play Sam Guthrie aka Cannonball.

Finally, the The Tracking Board is confirming Henry Zaga from 13 Reasons Why has signed to play Roberto da Costa aka Sunspot. While a version of Sunspot appears in Days of Future Past, I'm assuming we'll get a more comics faithful take this time around. He could be the coolest looking superhero of all-time, if done right. Please bring the Kirby dots. 

All in all, the cast is shaping up quite nicely. Some other tidbits worth note are that director Josh Boone's New Mutants will be a horror movie of sorts and in X-Men U fashion, the team will not be suiting up. New Mutants goes into production this summer for a scheduled April 13, 2018 release.
