James Cameron Wants More Terminator. Sure, Why The F*ck Not?
Greetings nerds!
In a recent interview with News Australia, director James Cameron revealed that he's taking another crack at the metal BAMF he created, The Terminator, and it kind of sounds like he's got the idea-mill a churnin'.
Yeah, I think with technology advancing the way it is, AI especially, the Terminator franchise could do quite well under Cameron's direction. He's set to regain the rights to his hulking, cyborg killing-machine in 2019, but that's not stopping the director from trying to get the franchise "reinvention" off the ground before then with not one new movie, but three brand-new Terminator films. That's right folks. We're talking trilogy.
Cameron then went on to shit on the three Terminator sequels that we wasn't part of (Rise Of the Machines, Salvation and Genisys) and basically says the only reason he hadn't before was out of respect for his good pal, and O.G. T-800, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Now, keep in mind that cameron is likely to be busy for the next decade on the Avatar franchise, so don't expect any solid movmemnbt on this for quite some time.
