Jordan Peele will Host and Narrate the New Twilight Zone!!!
Jordan Peele will be hosting and narrating the new Twilight Zone series coming to CBS All Access next year. Peele’s production company, Monkeypaw Productions, is currently producing the new series. The series re-boot was announced by CBS at the end of last year and production was started this year.
Peele has already made his bones in horror by winning an Oscar for his screenplay for his movie Get Out. I feel confident in saying that If anyone can re-boot the classic Sci-Fi series, it is this man.
The original Twilight Zone, created and hosted by Rod Serling, aired for five seasons on CBS, from 1959 to 1964. The show took viewers to another dimension—a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. It presented a new and strange morality play every week, involving people who face unusual or extraordinary circumstances. The stories often echoed social and political issues of the day. Many of the classic episodes are still referenced in today’s pop culture.
The Twilight Zone remains one of my favorite Sci-Fi/Horror television shows to binge watch on Netflix. As of this posting, it is still available to watch. If you have never seen the show before, you should definitely check it out. CBS has provided a list of some of the best episodes you should see at a minimum. See the list here.
CBS All Access hasn’t set on official release date; however the series is set to premier sometime in 2019.
