Breaking Bad Sequel Reportedly On Its Way!

Vince Gilligan, the creator of the hit TV series, “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” is writing and directing a two hour Breaking Bad spin-off movie. This is according to an unidentified source speaking to USA Today. The movie is reportedly going pick up right where the series ended and continue the story of Jesse Pinkman.

The film is set to begin shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the setting for the "Breaking Bad" series, in mid-November and extend through early February under the title “Greenbrier.” It is not yet known if Aaron Paul will be returning as Jesse, as he is currently working on other projects; however, Bryan Cranston has stated he would be very interested in reprising his role as the chemistry teacher you love to hate, Walter White.

This idea is truly fascinating to me. There is so much more story to tell about Jessie Pinkman. When we last left the Jessie character, he was making his triumphant escape from slavery from murderous group meth dealers and headed towards an unknown future. In fact, Vince Gilligan himself stated that it was his intention to leave Jessie’s fate ambiguous. Jesse Pinkman is truly tragic character, as over the course of the series, he has seen everything that is precious to him slowing ripped away. This is in no small part due to Walter White. The story possibilities here endless.

It is unknown at this time if this movie will be released in theaters or ran as a TV movie. We will keep you posted as more details become available.
