Tesseract And Time Travel? Nick Fury Delivers Some Major Captain Marvel Spoilers

Hello nerds!

It’s hard to believe Nick Fury would be one to spill secrets, let alone those that involve an alien invasion and the most powerful being in existence. But here we are.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the man behind the eyepatch, Samuel L. Jackson, revealed Captain Marvel will be a bit more powerful IRL, as compared to her comic book counterpart. Specifically, she can time travel. On her own. What the shit?

No need for Carol Danvers to use the Quantum Realm as the method of time travel, right? Captain Marvel is about the change the frickin’ game.

And speaking of changing the game, the former head of S.H.I.E.L.D. let slip the jewel of Odin's treasure room would too be making an appearance in this film. Which would mean when Nick laid eye on the Tesseract, aka the Mind Stone, in Avengers 1 it was not for the first time.

Intriguing.

We’re only a couple of months away from Captain Marvel heading to Earth to end the Kree/Skrull war, and this wait is not getting any easier. After the annoyingly vague trailer for Avengers:Endgame, the more we find out about Captain Marvel’s MCU debut, the more I want to see it.

Especially, since it’s largely thought Captain Marvel would also serve as an origin story of sorts for Nick Fury, before he lost his eye. Coincidentally, the de-eyeballing is rumored to involve Captain Marvel’s cat, Goose. He’s actually an alien called a Flerken. No shit.

Captain Marvel flies into theaters on March 8, 2019.
