Another Reboot of A Classic Horror Film May Be On The Way!

Hello nerds!

In the midst of a Halloween reboot coming this fall, Jordan Peele appears to be continuing the trend in Hollywood to reboot some of our beloved horror films of the past. According to Bloody Disgusting, Peele is currently in talks to remake the 1992 horror classic, The Candyman.

Peele, already a comedy sensation, has proven his ability to scare us at the movies. He has won an Oscar for his screenplay, and was nominated for Best Director, for his movie Get Out. He is now looking to build upon his success in the horror genre. Where better to continue that success than with what I believe to be one of the most underrated horror films of the 1990’s.

The original film stars horror movie icon Tony Todd (Final Destination and 1990’s Night of the Living Dead) as the Candyman, a murderous soul with a hook for a hand, who is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster's myth. If you have not yet seen this film and love horror, do yourself a favor and see it! Just beware, if you are squeamish about bees, be prepared to have that phobia amplified.

There are no firm dates for the production for this film as of yet; however, we will keep all you posted as more details become available.
