Broadway! Broadway! Broadway! The Ghost With The Most Is Getting A Musical

For those hankering for a return to the big screen for Beetlejuice, prepare for a bit of a disappointment with a side of might be good enough. Following in the steps of The Addams Family, Evil Dead and Spider-Man, Beetlejuice is hitting the stage.
The aptly titled, Beetlejuice, debuts on Broadway early next year and is a musical re-telling of the 1988 Tim Burton classic and not a continuation of the story we all know and love. And want more of.
Refreshing. But seriously, as one who has attained more than their fair share of musical theater, like more than 5 less than 12, this one sounds like it could be great.
Directed by Alex Timbers, book by Scott Brown & Anthony King, score by Eddie Perfect and choreography by Connor Gallagher, the pre-Broadway engagement stars Sophia Anne Caruso as Lydia Deetz and Alex Brightman as the titular gross, crass and entirely endearing pain in the ass ghost.
For those who attend the theater, you may want to give this a go because it might be the only “new” Beetlejuice for a longtime. Who needs a sequel, right?
Beetlejuice makes its world premiere at the National Theatre in Washington D.C. frm November 4 and run through November 18, 2018 and it later arrives on Broadway in the spring of 2019, but you may want to leave the little ones at home. This show is to be explicit as fuck.
