From Westeros To Wayne Manor. Jorah Mormont Is Batman!

Hello nerds!

Bear Island’s lost son will be hanging up his sword and armor and swapping it for a Batarang and cowl, because Jorah Mormont, aka Game of Thrones’ Iain Glen, is the new Bruce Wayne.

Per a report from Deadline, Glen will play Bruce Wayne on Season 2 of DC Universe’s Titans. The even report sheds some light as to which version of Gotham’s favorite son we can expect, and it sounds a bit Batman Beyond-y.

Outstanding!

Given Titans current standing with two Robins, it was only a matter of time before Dick Grayson abandoned the bird and became Nightwing. And given what we know about Bruce, Dick will be the new Terry McGinnis. And that’s pretty amazing.

I really enjoyed the first season of Titans, and the idea of an older Bruce Wayne serving as billionaire benefactor to the team of new heroes is terribly intriguing. Especially, when you consider just how terrific Iain Glen’s casting really is for this show. He’s an excellent actor, and he definitely has the range to pull off an older Bruce who is nearing the end of his superhero career.

And let’s be honest, who in the hell wouldn’t want to see Jorah Frickin’ Mormont suit-up as the Dark Knight? I know I do.

The second season of Titans is expected to premiere later this year on DC Universe.
