In Marvel, Nobody Truly Dies. Iron Man Returns In The Black Widow Movie

Hello nerds!

As fans of the comics will tell you, Death is never permanent in Marvel. Or DC for that matter. At any rate, Natasha Romanoff won’t be the only hero to “return” to the MCU, following their demise in Avengers:Endgame. As it so happens, our beloved genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist will indeed be returning to the MCU.

Per a report from Deadline, Robert Downey Jr. is set to reprise his role as Tony Stark aka Iron Man in next year's Black Widow movie. And that’s just fine. Afterall, Tony was still very much alive at this point in time. The Black Widow movie is set between the events of Captain America:Civil War and Avengers:Infinity War, so his appearance in the movie makes a lot of sense.

Sadly, I think it’s unlikely the Armored Avenger suits up for a fight in this one. And while I’m hoping they show up in some fashion on one of the many MCU shows set for Disney+, I’ll happily enjoy seeing Natasha and Tony share the screen again in theaters.

Marvel’s Black Widow hits theaters on May 1, 2020.
