It's About To Go Down In Westeros. The Final Season Game Of Thrones To Air In Early 2019
Greetings nerds!
The rumored air date for the upcoming 8th and final season of HBO's Game of Thrones used to be the Summer of 2019, which sucked because it's just so damn far away. Happily, it turns out the actual premiere date has been confirmed and it's sooner than we expected.
While speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour, HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys confirmed the final season of Game of Thrones will premiere in the "first half" of 2019. Fuck yea! And speaking of a return to Westeros, Bloys also revealed that despite recent rumors, the spinoff prequel wouldn't going into production until next year.
With only a half dozen episodes left, here's hoping we get some resolution to the battle for the Iron Throne, before all icey hell breaks loose when the army of the walking and frozen dead comes to King's Landing.
Besides the rumored new Baby Targaryen and the possibility of The Kingslayer becoming a White Walker, this last season of Game of Thrones should be nothing short of out-fucking-standing. Even if the premiere date of the "first half" of 2019 is a annoyingly vague.
However, given that 6 of the previous 7 seasons premiered in either March or April, I think we're in for an entertaining Spring when Game of Thrones returns.

It's all about the good, the bad and the weird from this year's San Diego Comic-Con. The boys talk about the WB/DC films are finally taking a page out of the Marvel book and making some fun movies with Aquaman & SHAZAM, the new season of The Walking Dead is shaking things up with a few major deaths & "talking" zombies and The Crimes of Grindelwald could actually turn out to be a great movie. #InSpiteofJohnnyDepp
