It's Dinosaurs & S'Mores In The Jurassic World Short Film

Hello nerds!

Universal Pictures released a sequel of sorts to last year’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and it’s actually pretty damn great. Unlike its predecessor.

The short-film Battle at Big Rock, helmed by Jurassic World director by Colin Trevorrow, stars Natalie Martinez and André Holland as a couple who take their kids camping at Big Rock National Park. And as these things go in the Jurassic Park series, a few dinosaurs show up and wreak utter havoc. For those unaware, dinosaurs now roam the earth along with us, following the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Even though it’s only about 9 minutes long, Battle at Big Rock is vastly better than the 128 minute slog that was Fallen Kingdom. And as a bonus, during the credits we get some additional footage of other dinosaurs, including the gargantuan Mosasaurus from Jurassic World, as they’re adjusting to their lives in this new age.

Yes, even short films have mid-credits scenes these days.
