With the looming release of the Justice League in a few months, the media machine is starting to turn its wheels. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck talks all about the Justice League movie changing directors, reshoots and he has some "interesting" word choices.

First, Batman V.Affleck shares his thoughts on switching directors so late into filming and how the visions of both former JL director Zack Snyder and current director Joss Whedon are both represented in the movie.

So, he really loves working with both directors. No shit? To me, BA was touting the studio line, but the words "interesting product" are a bit of a sticking point. These words feel rather ominous given the fact that Whedon directed extensive and expensive reshoots for Justice League. And speaking of reshoots, Affleck addressed them as well, but he again seems to be sending a mixed response. 

I realize that virtually every major movie has reshoots, but the Justice League's budget for reshoots was a staggering $25 million dollars and they were under production for almost 2 months. 2 months. Affleck was trying to defend the JL reshoots, BUT the films he compared them to did reshoots for nowhere near as long as the Justice League has. So, what in the exact fuck is Affleck trying to say?

I don't think Whedon will have done enough to change the bulk of the movie, and the parts we will be able to get his "Whedon" magic on will likely feel pretty disjointed amongst the Snyder-driven, action romp. Still, the bulk of the issues with the DCEU can be fixed in the forthcoming Flashpoint film and if the rumors about Zack Snyder being replaced as the creative mind behind the DCEU by Joss Whedon and Geoff Johns are true, then the DCEU could finally be heading in the right direction. In 3 years, because word has it that Flashpoint has been pushed back until 2020.
