Ninjas, Portals, & Shoguns? Rick And Morty Return (Technically)

Ninjas, Portals, & Shoguns? Rick And Morty Return (Technically)

Hello nerds!

While we are once again patiently awaiting the remaining episodes of Rick and Morty, an anime-inspired short featuring alternate versions of the intrepid duo should assuage the craving. For now.

Originally airing on Toonami, “Samurai & Shogun” was written and directed by Kaichi Sato. And in it we meet Samurai Rick (Rick WTM72) and Shogun Morty, as they’re being set upon by an entire clan of Rick Ninjas. The battle that ensues is likely very close to what you’re picturing. In other words, Samurai Rick is gonna Samurai Rick.

Rick and Morty returns eventually on Adult Swim.

Rick and Morty is Adult Swim’s most scientifically accurate animated comedy. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, it catalogues the bizarre misadventures of a bored scientific genius/drunkard and his socially awkward grandson, Morty. Their exploits tend to have unintended consequences for Morty’s dysfunctional family, especially his unfailingly mediocre father, Jerry. Watch Rick and Morty battle everything from interdimensional customs agents to Cronenberg monsters now.

If you love wizards, horror movies, bad TV, superheroes, and the 80s, please enjoy the podcast.

Asking you what we should watch, in-home movie premieres, books with too much stuff in them, the long overdue return of The Kids in the Hall, and the mindf*ckery of Westworld. #WhatIsReal
