Perfection! The Tremors TV Show Looked Amazing

Hello nerds!

A few weeks ago, we received some terrible news; The Tremors TV show that would have seen Kevin Motherfudging Bacon return as one Valentine McKee. Well, SyFy had the pilot shot and decided not to pick the show up. Which is both shitty and surprising. Shitty for the obvious reasons, and surprising given how fucking great it could have been.

Based on the synopsis, the show would've been Tremors meets Cobra Kai/Jean-Claude VanJohnson. A broken hero, beaten by time and the world, dusting themselves off and getting back into the fight. Luckily for us, as these things tend to go these days, the trailer for the series is now online. The trailer was posted to Vimeo by one Valentine McKee.

Curious indeed, but however suspicious the circumstances are, we should applaud the effort to get the trailer out there because it's effing fantastic. Besides catching us up with Val and the good people of Perfection, the show looks to be a bit of a retcon by ignoring the events of Tremors 2-5 and the other short-lived TV series.

The series was set to pick up 25 years after the killer Graboid worms nearly destroyed the Nevada town of Perfection. Bacon was to reprise the role of Valentine McKee, who beat the sandworms once and would attempt to do it again; but first he’d have to deal with age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex.

Why in the sweet shit did this not get picked up? Whatever reasons SyFy had for not taking this to series had better be good. Let's hope with this very "Deadpool" move of the trailer "finding" its way online, results in some other outlet jumping all over this.

Especially since Fred Ward was rumored to return to the world of Tremors as well, by returning as the incomparable Earl Bassett.

Dear Amazon or Netflix, please get on this. Oh, and stick to practical FX wherever possible. As good as CGI is, nothing can top the original Graboids. They don't have to be flawless, just near Perfection.
