That Is One Dynamic Duo. Falcon & Winter Soldier Are Teaming Up For Their Own Series

Hello nerds!

If you’re completely in love with the burgeoning bromance between Falcon and Winter Soldier, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this news.

According to Variety, the Disney is developing a new limited series for their streaming service featuring Falcon and The Winter Soldier, with both Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan set to star. Plus, Empire writer Malcolm Spellman has been hired to write the show and MCU head honcho, Kevin Feige, is expected to be "heavily involved".

This is HUGE news. With this latest show, by my count there’s no less than 3 shows focusing on Marvel superheroes for Disney Play. “The Adventures of Falcon and Bucky”, will join both Scarlet Witch and Loki, who are getting a solo series of their own. I’ve got a hunch that Marvel’s days on netflix are nearing an end.

In case you hadn’t heard, the solo series for both Danny Rand and Luke Cage have been cancelled. So, we’re officially down to new seasons for The Punisher and Jessica Jones, not counting Daredevil’s third outing against Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin and Bullseye, but even that might not be enough to guarantee a fourth season. Which is a real shame, considering the more than tantalizing Fantastic Four reference from the final season of Iron Fist.

Between all of the shows Disney Play has for a good portion of The Avengers, my hope is now that Danny and Luke are done on Netflix, they’ll get a slight retcon and we’ll get a Heroes For Hire series. All that remains is for most of these people with their own shows to be brought back to life.

I’m sure Captain Marvel and the Avengers, plus Pepper Potts as Rescue, bring everyone back to life in a few months, and the MCU will once again make sense. Which we know for a fact will happen since, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Spiderman all have sequels on the way.
