Universal has delayed production of the next offering to Universal Pictures' Dark Universe, Bill Condon's Bride of Frankenstein. I'm sure this annoucnement has nothgin at all to do with the big steaming dump that was The Mummy,

According to Deadline, the studio announced that Bride of Frankenstein would be postponed, even though it's already started pre-production in London. I hope the crew didn't unpack.

It's a surprisingly bold move by the studio to mash the delay button, especially when the crew already had boots on the ground. The report goes on to say the script is going be be worked on, so that could be the cause of the delay, but then in an "WTF moment it reveals that the stars of Bride of Frankenstein, Angelina Jolie and Javier Bardem, haven't actually committed to the film. 

Just to sum up. The movie had already started production, with no stars committed to it mind you, only to have the whole production shut down so the script could be fixed. $5 says the February 14, 2019 is not happening.

Anyone else think Bride should stay dead and buried?
