The Shape Returns On The First Official Poster For Halloween 2018!
Hello nerds!
The OG Laurie Strode, aka Jamie Lee Curtis, took to Twitter to share the first poster from the latest reboot/sequel/revival of the 1978 classic, Halloween. The poster gives us a real good look at Michael Myers and you can see his eye is still a bit fucked from the events of the original movie.
In the latest edition of the adventures of Michael Myers, he's going to pay his sister a visit and finish what he started 40 years ago. For those unaware, this movie will ignore EVERY other Halloween, except for the original. It's a "requel". Or "seboot", if you're nasty.
Admittedly, the closer we get to Halloween, the more excited I get for this movie. And for good fucking reason. Initially, like most of you, the involvement of Danny McBride and David Gordon Green gave me pause as they're primarily known for comedies, like Eastbound and Down. However, once they received the blessing of creator John Carpenter, it got much easier to trust them with continuing the story of one the most iconic horror characters of all-time.
Plus, it helps the film sees the return of both of the film's original stars in Jamie Lee Curtis as one of the greatest survivor girls ever, Laurie Strode, and as Haddonfield's worst nightmare, the first man to don the face of the Shat, Nick Castle. And with the duo of Green and McBride snagging Carpenter to score the film, all we need is some creepy-ass blue lighting and we're in for one scary ass autumn.
Halloween slices and dices its way into theaters on October 19.
