The Trailer For Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman Is Amazing!
Hello nerds!
The first trailer for Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman has been released and this is one movie, you're not going to want to miss. The story would be one of the most imaginative Hollywood screenwriting ventures ever, if it weren't true.
Based on actual events, the film is about Ron Stallworth, played by John David Washington. Stallworth is Colorado Springs’ first African-American police officer, and he learns of an imminent attack from KKK. So, with the help of his partner, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), Stallworth successfully infiltrates the local chapter of the KKK. In fact, he does it so well, he rose through their ranks and became head of the chapter. You CANNOT make this up.
Wow! Such an amazing story. I can't tell you the last time I was captivated by a trailer that did not feature a superhero. Director Spike Lee looks to be at the top of his game with this one, and it doesn't hurt the movie is being produced by Jordan Peele and Jason Blum. And I love the casting of John David Washington. Ricky Jerret is hands down one of the best parts of Ballers and that's a show largely comprised of best parts.
For me, BlacKkKlansman has got to be one of the most intriguing films in recent memory, and I'm excited to see it. In fact, it sounds like we should all be pumped for its release. Following the world premiere at Cannes, Spike Lee received a 10-minute ovation.
Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman starring John David Washington, Adam Driver and Topher Grace is in theaters on August 10, 2018.
