There's An Abundance Of Killer Robots In The Trailer For Terminator: Dark Fate

Hello nerds!

The latest installment of the Terminator franchise, is pulling a bit of a Halloween 2018, in that it’s a soft reboot of the franchise. Meaning that Dark Fate will outright ignore the events of T3 through Genisys. And thank shit for that.

As far as the plot goes, from the trailer we an surmise Sarah Connor is trying to save the new “her”, who is being hunted by an insanely upgraded T-1000. And she’s not alone. It looks like a cyborg soldier, presumably from the future, is out to protect the new Sarah Connor as well.

Dark Fate could prove to be a much needed restart for the ailing franchise. The return of creator James Cameron to the franchise bodes well for this latest chapter to the Terminator movies. Cameron’s first two Terminators are absolutely fantastic movies, and the franchise has definitely taken a turn for the worst, when he stepped aside. So, I’m all for The Terminator’ s return.

Speaking of returns, the stars of 1984’s The Terminator, Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, are both in Dark Fate as well. All in all, between the cast, Deadpool director Tim Miller being behind the camera, and some really cool action sequences, one of the greatest sci-fi action franchises ever could be back. But, let's hope they avoid a naked, all-CGI Arnold. That shit was legit haunting.

Terminator:Dark Fate is in theaters on November 1, 2019.

Saying goodbye to Game of Thrones, Robert Pattinson could be the Bat (which isn't terrible), the grim hilarity of Rick & Morty, re-visiting the Motor City Comic-Con, and the soothing melodies of Kiefer Sutherland. #NotEnoughWhimsy
