Hello nerds!

If Sony's Venom were a shit, then this little gem is the golden kernel of corn in the gooey center. Freshly leaked from CinemaCon, this footage gives us our first look at the hulking, alien-wrapped Eddie Brock. And he speaks! Well, they speak. 

Are you fucking kidding me? Wow! Alright, I'll admit it. That's fucking Venom. The size! The look! The sound! The snarl! The gang's all there and It's fantastic.

But, as great as this grainy ass footage looks and sounds, one brief glance at full-on Venom might not be enough to save this one. From Tom Hardy's questionable accent, to the lack the actual Venom in the film, to the "modest" budget and the whackass origin story, Sony appears to already have dropped the proverbial ball on this one. 

However, I'm more than OK with being proven absolutely wrong and this movie turns out to be amazing. Afterall, it's well cast and it looks like they've nailed the "Venom-y" bits. Lest we forget, Woody Harrelson is rumored to be playing Cletus Kasady aka Carnage in the movie; even though it's far too early to introduce him. And it's been strongly hinted Tom Holland will cameo as Peter Parker. All in all, there might be enough in this movie to keep the Venom-verse afloat until Spidey is ready to kick some alien ass. 

Venom swings their way into theaters on October 5, 2018.
