Well, No Shit. Jim Hopper Returns In A Teaser For Stranger Things Season 4
Hello nerds!
Netflix just released a surprise teaser for the new season of Stranger Things, which is nice. Even nicer is the teaser reveals “The American” being referred to by his Russian captors at the end Season 3 is none other than Sheriff Jim Hopper of Hawkins, Indiana.
“From Russia with love...” gives a look at a prison work camp, in the middle of a snowy and frozen hell. Guards, dogs, walls, prisoners, barrels with fires in them. It’s all very 1980’s action movie Siberia. After the camera finishes panning around the gulag, it zeros in our belovedly gruff lawman, alive and well. OK, maybe not “well”, since he’s seemingly stuck in Russia, but definitely alive.
I know being Stranger Things, it’s entirely possible this is not Hopper, and instead is some sort of evil doppelganger. Thankfully, Stranger Things creators Ross and Matt Duffer released a statement, confirming that is indeed Jim Hopper in the teaser, and not a new kind of monster. Plus, they also revealed the new season is in production.
Nice. Even though it’s still a long way off from being released, it’s nice to have some sort of an idea of what we can expect when the new season arrives. Even if we might not see it until 2021.
Stranger Things Season 4 will premiere on Netflix eventually.
