When Bruce Met Selina. Zoe Kravitz Is Catwoman In The Batman

Hello nerds!

The cast Matt Reeves’ The Batman is really starting to take shape, and it’s a great one so far. Following on the news that there will be a new face playing the titular hero, but he’ll be joined by a new love interest/foe.

According to THR, Zoe Kravitz has been cast as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in The Batman, where she’ll join the umpteenth person in recent memory to don the cowl of the Dark Knight, by way of Robert Pattinson. Director Matt Reeves took to Twitter to confirm the news.

Awesome. I really like the choices they’ve made so far with the latest faces to play two of the most beloved DC characters of all-time. And given the other names that in contention that were in for the role, Kravitz really has her work cut out for her as the new Catwoman. But given the movies and shows she’s done, I like her chances.

Plus, if this newest take on Gotham is successful, there’s a chance she’ll get to share the screen with one of the biggest stars in the DC live-action universe; her stepfather Jason Momoa aka Aquaman.

From the looks of things, the DC live action movies are building on the success of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Momoa’s Aquaman with the forthcoming Harley Quinn and the Birds Of Prey, James Gunn’s Suicide Squad, and Ezra Miller’s The Flash. So, let the streak continue.

WB/DC’s The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021.
