Who Needs A Hulk Movie? Hulk-Centric Storyline Starts In Ragnarok & Ends In Avengers 4
Hello nerds!
While it's disappointing that the good folks over at Marvel have decided to put the Jade Giant's solo adventures on the shelf, it turns out we'll be able to see the Hulk experience quite the character arc. Over the course of a few movies.
According to Bruce Banner himself, Mark Ruffalo, he and Kevin Feige came up with an intriguing idea for where the good doctor and the giant green rage machine are headed and it all starts in Thor: Ragnarok and ends in Avengers 4.
The Green Goliath and his puny alter-ego are hands down some of the MCU's most beloved characters, so this is fantastic news. The Hulk was already a bit different in the events of each Avengers movie, so it makes perfect sense that he'd keep "maturing" as time goes on and we get to know him better.
In fact, those of who have have seen every bit of footage from Ragnarok already know that the big guy is so grown that he's having "adult" conversations with Thor, and it would seem that this sudden spurt of chattiness is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg of the changes to the Hulk we'll see.
I'd love to see the movies get into more of the tension between Banner and the Hulk. One of the most entertaining parts of the Hulk comics were the times when they would fight for control, so let's hope that's what we're getting. Beyond that, only time will tell if we get to see an actual separation of Banner and the Hulk, and that would be terribly amusing to see happen in the MCU.
