Aw, Michael Made A Dude O'Lantern. Halloween 2018 Is Taking Terror To New Levels

Hello nerds!

Recently, Halloween 2018 director David Gordon Green revealed that in tribute to the original 1978 movie, his sequel/reboot would include an one-shot tracking scene, where we get to see Michael doing some "trick-or-treating of his own". As pants-shittingly terrifying as that sounds, it turns out that it looks far, far worse.

Courtesy of their Halloween sneak peek, Rue Morgue (Issue #183), we've got visual confirmation that one Michael Myers is not fucking around in this movie.

Holy effing practical FX, Batman! From all the images we've seen and the frickin' fantastic trailer this latest sequel/reboot of the adventures of Michael Myers looks like a true return to form for the franchise. Which is fitting, since it's a sequel ONLY to the original 1978 film.

For those unaware, Halloween 2018 ignores every other movie, that came before itWhich is a great call. Even though I love almost every sequel, they, and the other reboot, strayed too far from the original formula and the franchise suffered.

Now, I know this movie begin done by Danny McBride and David Gordon Green gives some pause, as they're mainly known for their comedic work, which is fair. However, the duo did receive the blessing of creator John Carpenter. Since he shits on every Halloween since his original, I take his blessing as a sign this movie is going to be pretty great.

Plus, Carpenter is dusting off his piano and redoing the soundtrack, so we've got that to look forward to. Which is nice.

For pudding, by way of USA Today, we've got an all-new look at the amazon Jamie Lee Curtis as the returning hero, Laurie Strode, as she prepares to kick all of the ass when Halloween slices its way into theaters on October 19, 2018.
