He's Dead, So Let's Talk Sequel. Doctor Strange Director Is Teasing A Return Of The Sorcerer Supreme
Hello nerds!
I mean, we already assumed the deaths in Marvel's Infinity War weren't going to be permanent, given that most of the heroes who died will lead the MCU for the foreseeable future, but this is getting ridiculous.
With sequels actively being developed for several of the heroes who fell to dust courtesy of "The Snap", it's about time the Russo brothers dropped the subterfuge. Especially, since Marvel is currently working on sequels to Spider-Man and The Guardians of the Galaxy. And now from the looks of things, we can add Doctor Strange to the growing list of superheroes who are returning from the grave. Well, returning from the dust. Officially.
Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson took to Instagram to tease that next month we could be receiving official word about the sequel to the MCU debut of Doctor Stephen Strange, M.D. and Master of the Mystic Arts.
So, Doctor Strange 2 is totally happening. Right? While Derrickson could just be doing a bit of trolling, it definitely seems like he's got some Doctor Strange related truths to drop. Another standalone adventure sounds just about right for the good doctor's return home.
We all know that one day very soon, Captain Marvel will return to save the Avengers, and thanks to that leaked promo art we know exactly whom Carol will be teaming up with in Avengers 4. So, until then all we can do is devour the breadcrumbs that Marvel is leaving us until the somewhat disappointingly titled Avengers 4, comes out.
Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
