Nothing Like A Stroll Over Some Bones. Here's The Official Poster For Stephen King's Pet Sematary

Hello nerds!

The reboot of 1989’s from horror icon Stephen King Pet Sematary is shaping up to be a real treat for fans of scary movies.

Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch, the writers and directors of Starry Eyes, are serving those same roles for this film and they’ve put together an amazing cast featurng John Motherfrickin’ Lithgow. Needless to say, I am seeing the shit out of this.

And I made that decision before the official poster was released.

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

Shit!

Pet Sematary, both the film and novel, are widely considered to be some of King’s best work, so this movie has got some monstrous (thank you very much) shoes to fill. And I do like its chances, but I’ll reserve judgement until I see the trailer which will be with us all very soon.

Until then, we can enjoy those dope images they released and I’ll try not to let that terrifying ass cat give me daymares.

Pet Sematary is in theaters on April 5, 2019.
