May I present to you the official trailer for Insidious: The Last Key; Chapter 4 for those of you who are keeping score at home. In the latest prequel to try and jump scare the shit out of us, we join psychic Elise and her intrepid sidekicks as they load up in an RV and head out west to bust some ghosts in... wait for it... Elise's childhood home. BAH BAH BUMMMMMMMM!
I'm definitely onboard for more of Lin Shaye battling demons that are so terrifying they would have me routinely shitting in my sweatpants from fear. Don't judge. The Insidious franchise has arguably gotten better with each sequel/prequel that's come out, with Chapter 3 being my favorite of the lot. So, I've been looking forward to this latest installment for some time. Unfortunately, due to the film's released being postponed a tad, we'll all have to wait a little longer than anticipated.
The film's original release date had it coming out just in time for Halloween, but now we have to wait until after the new year. Sad I know, but we're coming up on horror season so it's not all frowny faces here and lima beans.
Insidious: The Last Key creeps its way into theaters January 5, 2018.
