Well, That's Precious. Andy Serkis Is Alfred Pennyworth In The Batman
Hello nerds!
Perhaps one of the most underrated characters of the Batman franchise is about to be played by one of the most overlooked actors around today. And it’s actually a dream casting when you think about it.
According to The Wrap, the vastly talented Andy Serkis is in talks to join the cast of Matt Reeves' The Batman as Bruce Wayne’s guardian/best friend/butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Serkis’ addition to the already impressive cast is another good call by the studio.
Not only is there the unconventional, yet fantastic choice of Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, we’ve got Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon, and Paul Dano as Edward Nashton aka The Riddler. Between this cast, and the other roles the studio is looking to cast, this film could be the biggest Batman movie ever.
And finally, between this movie, Harley Quinn and the Birds Of Prey, James Gunn’s Suicide Squad, and the box office monster that is Joker, the DC live action movies might be on the right track. Which is fantastic for those who adore the Dark Knight and his Rogues Gallery.
We deserve another great Batman franchise on the big screen, and it might finally be on its way.
WB/DC’s The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021.

Not liking Ben Affleck movies, The Mandalorian is exactly the thing we need until The Rise of Skywalker, a reboot of Maniac Cop is headed to TV, the guys who some say ruined Game of Thrones aren't going to a galaxy far, far away, and a Keanu-less Dracula for the holidays. #WhatAShame
