What A Relief. M. Night Shyamalan's Tales From The Crypt Reboot Is "Dead"
Hello nerds!
Some time ago, TNT and the somewhat divisive, M. Night Shyamalan, were trying to reboot Tales From the Crypt. Yikes, right? Well, as it happily turns out, the reboot of the classic comic book turned HBO series is unlikely to see the light of day.
While speaking with Digital Spy, the director reveals the root of the issue was the network could not secure the rights to the property.
And there was much rejoicing. As fantastic as it would be to get new episodes of Tale From The Crypt would be, in no way should the series be done by TNT.
One simply does not reboot a premium cable series for basic cable. If a reboot of the series were to air on a network that would allow for the unique, macabre and darkly funny tone of “Tales” to be fully explored, I’d be all for it. Those of you whom are familiar with the old EC Comics or show, will likely feel the same.
For once, the quagmire of ownership rights does not result in disappointment.

Action movies that take place during Christmas, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 possibly found a director, Infinity War will be on Netflix for the holidays, Hugh Jackman could return as Wolverine, and Deadpool PG-13 might be worth a trip to the cinema. #FredSavageRules
