Yeah, That's Kinda Creepy. The Teaser For The Nun Has Arrived
Hello nerds!
The latest installment to James Wan's The Conjuring franchise looks to dive into the origins of the demon-nun that was first seen on screens terrorizing the Warrens in The Conjuring 2.
Surprisingly, the teaser for The Nun is light on all-out horror and is a bit of a slow burn, but it does end with the requisite jumpscare.
If you're a fan of the films of the Conjuring franchise, you're likely interested in seeing the newest chapter to the ever growing universe.
As for myself, I've only seen The Conjuring 1 & 2, and thought they were fine. #2 was a definite improvement over #1, and I've yet to see any of the Annabelle movies. With that being said, I'm not sure a trip to the theater is in my future for The Nun. Not that I don't want to see it, because I do. There's a lot to like about this film.
The movie was co-written by franchise creator James Wan & Gary Dauberman, and director Corin Hardy is no stranger to the genre. Plus, the movie does boast a pretty solid cast by one of a bonafide Oscar nominee, Demian Bichir and Taissa Farmiga; whom should excite fans of the anthology series American Horror Story and the grossly underrated The Final Girls. All in all, I don't have a doubt in my mind that'll I'll stream this movie the moment it is available.
The Nun creeps into theaters on September 7, 2018.
And if you needed help avoiding sleep, here's the official poster.
