Netflix To Cancel The Punisher And Jessica Jones!
Hello Nerds,
Well the last survivors of Netflix’s purge of Marvel television shows have finally learned their fate. According to multiple outlets, Netflix announced Monday that it will be cancelling its Marvel series, "The Punisher," after two seasons, as well as "Jessica Jones" after its third and final season. The cancellations mark the final Marvel TV series to be canned by Netflix, after "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage" and "Daredevil" were also canceled in recent months.
Both ”The Punisher" star, Jon Bernthal and “Jessica Jones” star, Krysten Ritter sent out a message to all their fans, thanking them for their support.
Jeph Loeb, Marvel's head of television, posted a letter to fans of the Netflix-Marvel shows on Monday, thanking them for supporting each of the series. Although it is not directly mentioned in the letter, Loeb seems to imply that the Marvel television universe may not be completely dead. I, like many others feel that Mr. Loeb is strongly implying that we will see these, and a slew of new Marvel television shows on the new Disney streaming service set to launch later this year.
