Bring On The Cockadoody Season Premiere. Here's The Trailer For Castle Rock Season 2
Hello nerds!
The second season of Hulu’s Castle Rock might be just as great as the first, because the murderous nurse from Stephen King’s Misery is the focus of the new season.
For those unfamiliar, Castle Rock is an anthology series set in the world of Stephen King’s novels. Last season dealt with some characters and places from The Shining, Needful Things, and The Shawshank Redemption. It fucking owned, thanks fantastic performances from the cast, the horror, the humor, and the general eeriness of King’s works. And judging by the trailer, our return trip to the sleepy and scary New England hamlet will be just as terrifying.
The new season of the picks up when Annie Wilkes, played by Lizzie Kaplan, arrives in town and immediately gets into some shit. Namely, she lands smack dab in the middle some kind of a blood feud being waged between two families; the head of one, is played by Shawshank Redemption star Tim Robbins. So, the second season of Castle Rock will incorporate elements from Misery, Stand By Me, and Jerusalem’s Lot. Rad, right?
And while the series hasn’t yet dealt with pets rising from the grave, sewer clowns, or a haunted hotel, there’s always season 3. So, let’s hope Season 2 makes me feel as oogy as the first.
Castle Rock Season 2 premieres on October 23, 2019 on Hulu.
