Rambo Vs A Man Made Killing Machine? Stallone's New Movie Sounds Interesting

Hello nerds!

Sylvester Stallone’s latest movie is something out of a horror novel. No, really. An actual horror novel. Per a report from Deadline, the legendary action star is set to adapt the novel, Hunter, for the big screen.

Hunter by James Byron Huggins is about the world’s greatest tracker named Hunter (no shit) & his trusty wolf (again, no shit), as head north of the Arctic Circle to find and stop a government created monster before it reaches civilization, where I assume it will murder the shit out of everyone.

Oh, and if you need further incentive, the lead character’s fucking name is actually “Hunter”. Genius!

Nathaniel Hunter could track anyone — or anything — on earth. Now the military desperately needs him for a mission that his ultrasensitive instincts tell him he should refuse. A beast is loose somewhere north of the Arctic Circle. It has already decimated a secret research facility and annihilated a squad of elite military guards. And the raging creature is headed south toward civilization, ready to wreak bloody devastation.

It’s a job that Hunter can’t turn down, but he soon discovers that his prey is terror incarnate, a half-human abomination created by a renegade agency through a series of outlawed genetic experiments. It has man’s cunning, a predator’s savageness, and a prehistoric power that has transcended the ages. And even if Hunter survives its unrelenting hunger for human blood, he’ll still have to confront the grim reality that it may have grown immortal.

To fans of the Rambo franchise, this likely sounds eerily familiar. For a brief spell, Sylvester Stallone was trying to adapt this book into the plot for Rambo 5, before vast amounts of fans of the “grounded” Rambo movies shit themselves with outrage.

Sylvester Stallone’s Balboa Productions will be making this movie, but other than that there are no details available at this time.

If you’ve got a hankering for Sly on the big screen, you can catch him in Creed 2 on Nov. 21, 2018 starring Michael B. Jordan. This time around it’s Creed vs Baby Ivan Drago, which sounds rad.
