The Doctor And A Werewolf Are Set To Star In Neil Gaiman's Good Omens On Amazon

Hello nerds!

Who wants to watch a comedy about the birth of the son of Satan and the impending doom he will bring, starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen? Especially if the series is based on Neil Gaiman's Good Omens, with him also serving as both writer and showrunner. Everyone, right?

For those unfamiliar, Good Omens is about an angel, Aziraphale, and a demon named Crowley and neither is really all that jazzed about the birth of the Antichrist, because they've grown rather accustomed to their cushy lives in England and don't really feel like having the world come to an end.

Per a report from Variety, Sheen will be playing Aziraphale and Tennant is set to play Cowley, and as it turns out star Michael Sheen has been a fan of both Good Omens, and his co-star David Tennant, for quite some time.

I first read ‘Good Omens’ as a teenager and it’s been one of my favourite stories ever since.

To be part of the team entrusted with bringing it alive on screen is a bit of a dream come true to be honest. To work alongside Neil, who I think is one of the greatest storytellers of all time, is incredibly exciting. And, just like the rest of the world, I’m a huge fan of David’s so I relish trying to save it with him.

Good Omens takes place in 2018, so I think it's likely we see the six episode series debut on Amazon next year as well.
