We're Doomed! The Doom Patrol Returns In The Trailer For Season 2

Hello nerds!

The trailer for DC Universe’s Doom Patrol Season 2 is here and if you enjoyed the first season, you’re in for more stunning visuals, super-action, drama, and delightful absurdity this time around.

For those unfamiliar, Doom Patrol follows a team of superheroes, who have some of the most tragic origin stories imaginable, which resulted in them receiver their superpowers. And it’s their shared tragedy that ultimately brings them together, as they go face to face with some of the weirdest and most fantastic heroes, villains, and everything in between their universe has to offer.

Well, when we last saw our heroes, most of the Doom Patrol had just been miniaturized after saving the world from Mr. Nobody. And from the looks of the trailer, the second season picks up precisely where they left off; most of the team is tiny, and the Chief’s long-lost daughter (along with her own set of mysterious superpowers) has joined the Patrol. Plus, there’s an all-new crop of super-weird baddies, and oddball heroes that must be dealt with.

Doom Patrol stars Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane/Jane Morris, Joivan Wade as Cyborg/Victor Stone, Matt Bomer as Negative Man/Larry Trainor, April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman/Rita Farr, Brendan Fraser as Robotman/Cliff Steele, Timothy Dalton as Chief/Niles Caulder, and Abigail Shapiro as Dorothy Spinner.

Doom Patrol Season 2 premieres on DC Universe and HBO Max on June 25, 2020.

DC’s strangest group of heroes — Cliff Steele aka Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Larry Trainor aka Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Jane aka Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Joivan Wade) — are back again to save the world. That is, if they can find a way to grow up…both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.
