What's A Season Of Daredevil Without An Assassin? Bullseye To Appear In Season 3
Hello nerds!
Word has it Wilson Bethel has been cast as Bullseye for the third season of Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil, and now we might actually have some proof to substantiate the rumor.
In a now deleted post on Instagram, very telling I know, Costume designer Liz Vastola shared a shot of one of the crew jackets the costume department received after Season 3 was done filming, and it features a not so subtle nod to one of Daredevil's greatest arch enemies, Bullseye.
If that's not the all too familiar blue and white target associated with assassin who never misses, then I'm Kurt Russell. Sadly at last check, I was not Kurt Russell, so I think the odds of Bullseye making his debut in the Marvel/Netflix MCU are pretty good.
So far, on the Netflix we've seen Daredevil take on Elektra, The Kingpin, The Hand and Frank Motherfucking Castle, so he's been just a little busy. Oh, not to mention The Hand as well, so them not getting to the master assassin known as Bullseye until Season 3, then that's just fine.
The last time we saw this dude IMarvelRL, was on the big screen played "interestingly" by Colin Farrell, but don't let's try to not think about that. Word has it that this time around he'll be played by Wilson Bethel.
Currently and suspiciously, Bethel is listed as "FBI agent" and is set to appear in episodes 1, 2, 7 and 8. To me, that seems like a good formula to introduce us to an FBI agent who is made into Bullseye, either directly or indirectly, by the actions of Daredevil. They fight, then Bullseye can be locked away in The Raft until he's needed in Season 4. For those unaware, Daredevil Season 3 is largely expected to adapt the fantastic arc, Born Again; Wilson Fisk, played brilliantly by Vincent D'Onofrio, is the big bad.
Obviously, Marvel hasn't officially confirmed Bullseye for Season 3, but I'm expecting new Daredevil showrunner Erik Oleson to be looking to set himself apart from his predecessors and Matt Murdock finally facing Bullseye is a terrific fucking place to start.
Daredevil Season 3 doesn't have an official release date yet, but if Marvel sticks to their Netflix release schedules of old, the further adventures of Matt Murdock should be available in November of this year.
