Star Wars is Getting Wood? Woody Harrelson To Play Han Solo's Mentor

Per a report from Variety, Woody Harrelson is in talks to play the as of yet unnamed mentor of young Han Solo in Han's origin story. 

",,,while talks are still in the early stages, Harrelson is the top choice to play Han Solo’s mentor in the upcoming “Star Wars” spinoff starring Alden Ehrenreich."

While no details about the character were given, I think it's safe to assume that he'll be a smuggler. It makes sense right? I mean someone's got to show Han and Lando the ropes. If Woody is cast he'll join Alden Ehrenreich as Han, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke in another unnamed role.

All in all, this one's shaping up quite nicely. For those who were concerned about these prequels, hopefully Rogue One put some of those worries to bed for you. The forthcoming origin stories should have a lot of freedom to explore with these beloved characters and we could be in for a real treat.
