Superheroes Beware! Here's An All-New Trailer For Garth Ennis' The Boys

Hello nerds!

If you’re feeling a little fatigue from the superhero genre, then Amazon’s new show might be just for you. Granted, The Boys is story about superheroes and the world they live in, but it won’t be like anything we’ve seen. Ever.

Based on the utterly fascinating and completely bananas comic book from Garth Ennis, and starring Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as "Wee" Hughie Campbell, Karen Fukuhara as The Female, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk Tomer Kapon as The Frenchman, The Boys is about a group of superpowered mercenaries who “police” those whom cannot be policed. Superheroes.

If one of the “Supes” breaks the law, The Boys savagely beat them until they see the error in their ways or die. Whichever happens first. And thanks to this new teaser, we see a glimpse of just how messed up some of these superheroes really are.

As it happens, some of the biggest pieces of shit are at the top of the superhero echelon, aka The Seven, or this world’s Avengers/Justice League. And as you’ve probably guessed, The Seven on a direct path to a showdown with The Boys. For those who haven’t read the comic, yes, it’s as awesome as you’re picturing.

The Boys will be available on Amazon Prime Video on July 26, 2019.

In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, THE BOYS centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as “The Boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty. THE BOYS is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes.
